Uncle Carl went fishing with my Dad, Louis Tange, and I at Big Bear Lake on a couple occasions. He also joined us for a couple days out hunting quail near Sage, but the most momentous occasion was when he was helping us mount a 250 gallon metal water tank on top of a wood frame "tower" about 12 feet high. We backed up the trailer holding the tank to the tower then set up a couple loose planks to use as a ramp to move the tank up on top. I was on top of the tower pulling a rope with my Dad and Uncle Carl pushing the tank up the planks. As the tank neared the top of the tower the planks gave way, the rope snapped I fell off the tower into some sage brush all in a cloud of dust. As the dust cleared we were all on the ground looking up at the tank that had miraculously landed perfectly in place. We all laughed seemingly for minutes at our achievement.
That tank is still there to the best of my knowledge. God Bless Uncle Carl and he will be welcomed "home."

Love, regards and respects to my dear cousins who had a wonderful father. He always had a smile whenever we met and I will hear his magnificent laugh for all of my life. The four brothers are all now together again.
