My condolences to Dr. Keys family. I first met Dr. Keys when I was a medical student at the University of Maryland. She was my mentor and the fact that she was a nurse first prior to medical school was so inspiring to me, as I was traveling the same path. She taught me how to perform medical examinations, utilize critical thinking, and develop differential diagnoses. She walked those hospital hallways with pride, respect, dignity, and the confidence of knowing who she was and to whom she belonged.  There was no doubt that she was there to serve and not just there for a title or a paycheck. As a medical student I knew that one day, that would be me! Well done thy good and faithful servant, well done!
Deepest condolences. Dr. Keys was once my employer and was ALWAYS my Beloved Friend.

I am so grateful to have witnessed Dr. Keys' passion for caring and healing. With great appreciation and respect, I thank God for the years we shared in conversation and collaboration regarding the love of God, ministry and medicine. To God Be The Glory for her life. My prayers are with the entire family and all who were impacted by her faithful service.

Most sincerely,

Rev. Dr. Casssandra A. Sparrow
