Irene Marie Woods peacefully passed away at home in Chicago surrounded by her family on January 31st, 2026, at the age of 94. Throughout her life, Irene was best known for her artwork, sewing skills, Scrabble games, and love for reading. She is survived by her children, Mike (Betty) Starr, Bob (Renee) Starr, and Linda (George) Bandera. Left to cherish her memory are also her 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son Bill (Barb) Starr. A memorial gathering will be held at St. Andrew Lutheran Church (date TBD).
