With profound sadness we announce the passing of Irene Hanna, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all whose lives she touched, on August 26, 2023. Born in 1953, Irene lived a vibrant life full of laughter, love, and endless kindness.

She leaves behind a beautiful family who cherished her deeply, including her loving husband Edward Hanna, daughter Michelle Grissman, and son Jeff Walker. A proud grandmother, one of her greatest joys was her six grandchildren, McKenna, Olivia, Gavin, Leah, Conner and Landon whom she loved beyond measure. 

Irene retired in 2019 following a fulfilling career in the mortgage industry. A prolific reader, she found solace in biographies, suspense and romance novels. She was a lover of Classic Rock with ZZ Top, Cars and Rod Stewart as a few of her favorites.

A dedicated supporter of her local sports teams, she passionately cheered for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. Irene's favorite recreational activities included relaxing with her husband, casino trips and shopping with her daughter, and playing with her grandkids, making lifelong memories together. 

Irene had a great passion for causes that promoted the well-being of children, especially St. Jude and Boys Town. Her personality was a beautiful blend of caring, loving, and quick wit. And through her actions, she taught an invaluable lesson - to treat people the way you would wish to be treated.

Her legacy is one of kindness and generosity. Irene Hanna will be genuinely missed and forever remembered. Her spirit of love and goodwill is a guiding light that will continue to shine in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing her life was a blessing to all, and her memory a treasure.
