Irene Louise Brown, age 80, of Gallipolis, OH died Sunday May 11, 2025 at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe surrounded by loved ones. Irene born December 16, 1944 in Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Timothy Shank.

Irene was a very hard worker and a gypsy spirit; and made the best potato salad. She loved coffee and playing bingo at the bingo hall, she enjoyed playing cards, loved her dogs, playing pogo and online casino. But more than anything she loved her family.

Irene is survived by her two sisters Garry Marts and Deloris Knize

As well by her children,

Dee (David) Tygart of Missouri,

Jacob (Melissa) Shank of Texas,

Yvonne Quarles of Texas

James Shank of Ohio and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held 6:30 PM. Tuesday May 13, 2025 at Potters Wheel Pentecostals Church with Pastor Steve Nibert officiating. 210 Upper River Rd Gallipolis, OH.
