사랑하는 아내이자 어머니이며 자매이자 친구인 이인선 권사님은 주님께서 미리 마련해놓으신 처소에 살기 위해 6 월 11 일 일요일 에 평화롭게 돌아가셨습니다.

이인선 권사님은 한국에서 태어나 인천에 있는 인일 여고를 다니셨고 서울 대학교에서 미술을 전공했습니다. 그 이후에는 이강두 장로님과 결혼하여 미국에서 함께 가족을 이루셨고 첫 째딸 Deborah를 이어 Mary, David, Matthew 모두 네 명의 자녀를 얻으셨습니다.

한국 전쟁과 극심한 경제적 어려움 속에서 자란 이인선 권사님은 제 2의 고향인 미국에서의 삶을 매우 자랑스럽게 여기셨습니다. 이 곳에서의 삶은 하루하루가 고난과 역경으로 가득 차 있었지만, 이인선 권사님은 여전히 일을 즐기실 줄 아는 유능하고 부지런한 사람이었고 여러 가지 직업과 사업을 모두 성공적으로 이루셨습니다. 권사님의 가장 자랑스러운 개인적 업적 중 하나는 60대 후반에 시작한 보험 전문가로서 최근까지 성공적으로 이루신 경력이었습니다. 권사님은 계속해서 자녀와 손자 손녀들에게 매사에 유쾌함과 열심을 다하는 마음가짐을 갖도록 지속적인 삶의 모범이 될 것이며, 지상이 아니라 하늘에서만 볼 수 있는 보상에 대한 동기를 갖게 할 것입니다.

이인선 권사님은 자녀, 손자들이 이룬 업적을 참 기뻐했습니다. 학업적 성과와 더불어 손자들을 매우 자랑스러워했고 특히 두 손자가 어린 나이에 성경을 읽고 음악, 스포츠, 특히 예술 분야에서 많은 재능을 보여줘서 놀라워했습니다.

권사님의 깊고 성실한 믿음은 하나님이 만드신 모든 창조물 안에 있는 아름다움을 보게 했습니다. 그래서 권사님은 자신의 그림과 사진을 통해, 그리고 교회를 장식하는 것, 가난하고 겸손한 사람들을 돕는 것, 좋아하는 찬송가를 부르는 것, 많은 이들과 소중히 간직해 온 우정을 통해서 자신이 보았던 아름다움을 세상에 보여주기 위해 노력했습니다.

권사님은 거의 50년 동안 사랑하는 남편과 함께 하셨고 네 명의 자녀와 자녀들의 배우자 (Chris, Joe, Min Jung, Gena)와 9명의 손자인 Felix, Lisette, Miles, Dylan, Dave III, Jonathan (보류 중), Judah, Elliott, Hessa; 여동생 효선과 남동생 화수와 Justin, 그리고 많은 조카들, 가장 친한 친구이자 시누이인 박방남 권사님과 함께 여생을 보냈습니다. 이인선 권사님은 이제 사랑하는 부모님과 두 형제 자매와 함께 할 것 입니다. 권사님은 사랑을 실천했고 또한 사랑을 받았습니다.

한국어 추모 예배는 6 월 13 일 일요일 피닉스 시간 오후 2시 7510 N 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85051 아리조나 새생명 장로 교회에서 열릴 예정입니다. 원하시면 이 곳으로 화환을 보내실 수 있습니다. 이인선 권사님의 두 자녀는 의사이고 코로나 바이러스와 변이 바이러스에 대해 심각하게 받아들이고 있습니다. 코로나 예방 접종을 받지 않으신 분들은 추모 예배에 참석하지 않기를 요청합니다. 추모 예배는 아리조나 새생명 장로 교회의 웹 사이트에서 생중계로 제공될 것입니다. 꽃을 보내셔도 되시고 꽃 대신에 단체에 기부를 하셔도 좋습니다.

Insun Rhee, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, peacefully passed away on June 11, 2021 to reside in the heavenly home prepared by her Lord.

Insun was born in South Korea and attended Inil Girls High School in Incheon and graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Fine Arts. She married David K. Rhee and joined him in the United States, where they immediately began their family - first Deborah, then quickly thereafter: Mary, David and Matthew.

Having grown up during the Korean War and the intense economic struggles in the years that followed, Insun was immensely proud of her life in her adopted country. Although her life in the States was filled with daily hardships and struggles, Insun was a capable and diligent person who enjoyed working and applying her brain into several different career paths and businesses successfully. One of her proudest personal achievements was her recent successful career as a licensed health insurance agent that she began in her late 60s. She will continue to serve as an enduring example to her children and grandchildren of a cheerful and hardworking mindset, with a motivation for rewards seen in heaven, not on earth.

Insun delighted in her children, grandchildren and their achievements. In addition to their academic performance, Insun was very proud of her grandchildren and extremely pleased that two of her grandsons finished reading the Bible at a young age and marveled at the many talents displayed by her grandchildren in music, sports and especially in the arts.

Insun’s deep and sincere faith drove her to see the beauty in all of God’s creation and thus she endeavored to show the world the beauty she saw, whether through her paintings, drawings, doodles and photographs, her extremely popular national blog series within the Korean American community, decorating her church, helping the poor and humble, singing her favorite hymns or the many friendships she treasured so dearly.

Insun is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years and 4 children and their spouses (Chris, Joe, Min Jung and Gena), and 9 grandchildren: Felix, Lisette, Miles, Dylan, Dave III, Jonathan (pending), Judah, Elliott and Hessa; her sister, Hyosun, and brothers Hwasoo and Justin, and many nephews and nieces; and her best friend and sister-in-law, Park Bang Nam. Insun is joining her beloved parents and two brothers and sister. Insun loved and was loved.

A Korean language memorial service will be held at New Life Church at 7510 N 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85051 on Sunday June 13 at 2 pm Phoenix time, where flowers can be sent. The family asks to not add to their sadness by attending the service if you are not vaccinated. Two of Insun’s children are doctors and the family takes COVID and its variants seriously. The memorial service will be live streamed and made available on the New Life Church’s website. As an alternative to flowers, donations to the organization Stop Solider Suicide are suggested.
