Indroutie's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Indroutie Ali, also known as Indra. She peacefully departed from this earthly realm on October 6, 2023, at the age of 75. Born on April 2, 1948, in Hand En Veldt, Guyana, she lived a life filled with love, strength, and unwavering devotion.

Battling stage 4 lung and brain cancer for the last five years, Indroutie was a strong woman who fought her battle as long as she could.

Indroutie, a woman of remarkable character and grace, will forever be remembered for her tireless dedication to her family. The kitchen was her sanctuary, where she lovingly prepared meals for countless cherished occasions. Her selflessness knew no bounds, as she lent a sympathetic ear and offered advice to those seeking solace. Indroutie's gentle spirit and keen ability to listen made her a cherished confidante and a source of unwavering support for her loved ones.

In remembrance of her late husband, Wazir Ali, Indroutie faithfully made sure to cook and prepare for the celebration and party on December 24th, continuing until Christmas morning. This heartfelt tribute embodied her enduring love and commitment to her family, ensuring their happiness and well-being.

Indroutie leaves behind a profound void in the lives of her five children, Saira Ali, Zaheer Ali (Arif), Shaleeza Ali, Imran Ali, and Wasim Ali. She also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Subrina Ally and Joshua Ally. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Baby, Baboo, Galo, Mackeye, and Babin; her daughter-in-laws Nanda and Dolly; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She now joins her siblings, late Son Son, late Chan, late Deo, and late Leila; and late husband, Wazir Ali.

A wake service, honoring the cherished memory of Indroutie Ali, will be held on Saturday, October 6th, at 7 PM at Al-Ihsan Academy, located at 130-08 Rockaway Blvd, South Ozone Park, NY 11420. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate professionals at Bergen Funeral Service, located at 11430 Rockaway Blvd, South Ozone Park, NY 11420. The viewing will take place from 9 AM to 10 AM on Sunday, October 8th, followed by the solemn Jannazah ceremony at 10 AM. Indroutie's final resting place will be at the serene Jersey State Memorial Park (Cemetery of Peace, Makbarat As-Salaam), situated at 13 Conover Rd, Millstone, NJ 08535.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our family for their unwavering support and guidance during this difficult time. May the soul of Indroutie Ali find eternal peace, and may her memory serve as a beacon of love and inspiration for all who were blessed to know her.
