In's obituary

A much-loved mother, grandmother, and sister, In Su Lee of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, while surrounded by her family after complications of a stroke. She was 85.

She was born April 2, 1938, in Suwon, South Korea to Jung and Yang Yi. She married the late Chong Lee and resided in Seoul, South Korea before they moved to Austin, Texas to pursue the American dream in 1985.

In Su is survived by three children: Hyon and husband Gus, Sung and wife Mina; Chang and wife Younghee; grandchildren: Danielle and husband Zach; Aaron and wife Jessica; SangAh and wife Sam; Corrine; Benjamin; Asher; great-grandchildren: Liam; Lucas; Henry; her sister, Ami and husband Don; and many extended family members.

In Su was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Halmi. She had an energetic personality and always made sure her grandchildren were loved and well-fed with her Korean cooking.

In Su will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all of us who were blessed to have her as Mom and Halmi.

A viewing before the cremation will be held on April 1, 2024, at the Eternal Peace funeral event center for her children and their spouses to attend. We ask other family members and friends to keep us in your thoughts as we take our mom to be cremated.

The memorial service to honor and celebrate In Su’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, followed by the burial of her remains at the burial site, Our Lady of The Rosary Cemetery & Prayer Gardens, 431 Berry Lane, Georgetown, TX.
