It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ilze Krimuldens Goodfield. Born on March 14, 1940, Ilze transitioned on December 29, 2025. A woman of multiple interests and talents, Ilze's life was full of flowers, travel, music, and art. She is survived by her son Eric and her granddaughter Emma.

Ilze could be found in her garden tending her roses, lilacs, and orchids, and spending time with her cats. She was also an artist, a painter, sculptor, and photographer. Ilze was an enthusiastic traveler who took pleasure in exploring the world. Her most memorable stay was in Thailand, where she spent a significant part of her life working with the Peace Corps. The experiences she had during this time greatly impacted her life and shaped her to be the person she was.

May her soul rest in peace, and may her life inspire our curiosity and love of nature every day.
