We mournfully announce the passing of Ilona Pehl, 59, of Long Beach Ca. Ilona passed away on February 8, 2022, after a complicated battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Ilona, born to Katalin and Frank Pehl , took her  first breath on June 4, 1962, in Lawrence Massachusetts . Ilona  was a force to be reckoned with from the get go, graduating from Bell High School in 1980 . While Ilona never married, she  lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. Her nephew and nieces meant more to her then words can describe.  She was a generous person with a big heart. She is survived by her mother Katalin Varga, sister Katalin Arzate, brother Frank Pehl, nephew Robert Arzate, nieces Jacquelyn Padilla, Jennifer Ruiz and Jessica Nunguray.  She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends that cared for her dearly.  We will always miss her, but will forever have her our hearts.

Services will be held in Newport Beach on June 12, 2022 at 10:30 am. This will be a private event, immediate family only.  Ilona wished for her ashes to be scattered at sea. The service will be live streamed, so all can be included in this beautiful departure. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to  National MS Society in her name.
