I met Huyla at Presbyterian Hospital when I was a Social Work intern. She made a lasting impression on me! Her kindness, love and brilliance shined bright all the time. I will always remember Huyla as a wonderful and fantastic Social Worker with a heart bigger than the moon!

I am very sad to learn of my friend's passing. She carried a bright light within her that drew many towards her. She loved the ocean as did I. We would meet at Red Rock during huge storms and watch the spectacular power of the ocean, as it crashed into the seawall. She liked to ride on her board and cruise over the waves. She told me a story, "I was way out and I fell off of my board. The water was freezing. I had a real tough time trying to affix the sail to the board, but I was determined, and I told myself that I was not going to drown." She had determination and a lot of good will about her. She loved music and we went to concerts. At work she was joyous as we helped people get the money and food they so desperately needed. She laughed often and easily.  She is a bright light that came into my life. She is in the arms of the angels. Shine on my wonderful friend. My sympathies to all.

Hulya literally LIT UP A ROOM when she walked in. She carried with her a special energy and brilliance. I have a hard time believing she is gone, and I know her memory will bring a smile to all who know her. Love to you.

Hulya was a bright light! She always had a radiant, beautiful smile. Hulya was kind and friendly. And I thought she was beautiful! I am glad we were friends in high school, and then caught up years later. I wished I had spent more of our adult years catching up. She was an interesting person to talk to. Fly high with your Angels of God and may your soul rest peacefully, beautiful Hulya❤️
