In January 2024, months before Huan passed, I was planning for my first trip to Las Vegas. Huan was also going, but for a bachelor's party and I didn't know about it at the time. He texted me and invited us out to the best buffet I've ever had in my life. At the table, I brought back a plate full of seafood and a filet mignon, and he said to me, "Very Asian of you. I'm proud." and gave me a head nod of approval. He then took us all around Caesar's Palace, bought a hat for Sohan, played Baccarat, and lost $10k in less than 10 minutes before he left to get on a flight back home to Houston. That was the highlight of my trip -- for someone like Huan to invite me to hang out and show me his backyard - it was fun, wild, cool, and exciting. Huan rarely opened up to people and he lived a life of mystery, even to those that were closest to him. It's kinda funny, but it was Huan. Anyway, that was a super cool experience for me and the more I got to know him (even after he passed), the more I realized how super special that moment was. It was Huan's last time in Vegas and my first. Huan truly set the standards at work and how "do Vegas right" and I'm grateful to have had those lessons from him. Thank you, Huan. We all miss you.

Can't even think about fishing without thinking of my buddy. Fishing takes time and with time spent, emotions grow. His personality and his love for my family were so large. I know he knew what he meant to me, but I would sure like to tell him one more time.

I remember Juan when he would come to my house with my son Douglas. He was a wonderful person and will be remembered. Prayers for Juan and his family .

For the last 4 years, my wife and I have dined with only Huan so we got to know him personally. He always went above and beyond for us every time we dined with him. He was the reason why we frequented the restaurant. He was kind and we shared a love for food. He even tried to comp our meal without us noticing but we caught it... this was when he found out my wife and I were having our third child. Had many memories and it is sad and shocking to see him pass. Condolences to the family. See you in heaven bud.

We always enjoyed our trips to Houston. Meeting Huan at Uchi was so amazing. He was such a cool guy that we always loved to see when we were in town from Cali. Thanks for making our memories even more memorable. Rest in peace friend!

We loved chatting with Haun, he was sweet, funny, laughed easily and loudly, and lived life full tilt. We’re going to miss him so much. We love you, buddy. See you, one day! ❤️

We loved Huan so much. He knew what we liked so much and would great us with a bottle of wine and some saki. His sense of humor was amazing and we enjoyed many great times with him at Uchi. There will forever be a void there with him gone.
