Hoyt's obituary

Hoyt Herman Scott was lent to this world on December 7th, 1930 to parents Fred Nathaniel and Ruby Mae Dawson Scott in Bridgeport Alabama. He spent his adult life serving his country and his community in the United States Air Force, Army National Guard and the Hixson fire department where he served as both Fire Chief and dispatcher. Hoyt had three children Lisa (Rob) Neal, Debbie(Danny) McDowell and Fred Scott before meeting the love of his life Linda Marrianne Scott whom he married on May 7th, 1997. Hoyt took on the role of step father to Linda’s three adult children Richard (Cherry) Evans, Nathan (Pamela) Evans and Eleanor Humphrey and he cherished his role of grandpa to his many grandchildren. On July 15th,2023 the Lord called Hoyt home. Hoyt passed away peacefully in his home while surrounded by his loving family. He was proceeded in death by his parents Fred and Ruby Mae Dawson, his son Fred and siblings Raymond Douglas (Mary), Fred Kelsey, Mary Ruth Willard (J.D.), and Gloria Ann Lane (W.C.).He is survived by sibling, Gardner B.Scott (Joy) of Harrison, TN, his loving wife Linda M. Scott and his children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the Upper Fir campground in Cloudcroft NM at 2 pm on August 26, 2023
