Hoyet's obituary

It is with profound grief we announce the passing of our beloved Hoyet Fuller who peacefully breathed his last on September 22, 2025. Born on December 8, 1964, Hoyet lived a full life, bringing warmth, love, and compassion to the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.

Hoyet, who was predeceased by his father, Hoyt Fuller, his mother, Maryellen Goodsell, and his sister, December Barrows, is remembered by his sisters, nieces, and nephews as a caring and thoughtful man. He is survived by his sister Deanna Fuller, his nieces Sandra Fuller, April Ploeger, and Michelle Ploeger, and his nephews Charles Sizemore, Ethan Jenkins, and Henson Preator.

With simple tastes and an undying love for all things nostalgic, Hoyet’s preferences were easily reflected in his favorites. He had a great fondness for Fried Chicken and mushrooms paired with a cold beer. He relished 60s, 70s, and 80s music and often spent his leisure time watching Westerns and action movies. A passionate sports fan, Hoyet rooted for the Kansas City Chiefs and Notre Dame, and enjoyed engaging in a good game of cards.

Hoyet's recreational activities weren’t many but were cherished. Often, he was found with a cold beer in hand, listening to his favorite genres of music. His favorite color, blue, was a testament to his serene and calm personality. The causes closest to his heart were as simple and profound as they come - Family.

Although Hoyet is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the loving, thoughtful, and compassionate person he was. His lessons of kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him. His attributes of warmth, thoughtfulness, and compassion will forever be cherished.

In this time of grief, we mourn his absence but also celebrate a life well-lived, remembering Hoyet for the wonderful person he was, and the beautiful memories he left in our hearts.
