Howard's obituary
Howard C. Rudnick, of Palos Hills, IL, passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2024. He was 62 years old, and his heart was worn and tired. Our family is devastated and shocked by this deep loss.
Howard was born to Margaret and Gerald Rudnick on December 18, 1961, in Evergreen Park, IL. A stridently independent personality, Howard led a simple life close to home and family.
Throughout his life, Howard helped others with his innate gifts of extraordinary handyman and master mechanical skills. He was happiest when solving complex challenges that bettered the lives of those nearest and dearest, as It was the way his big heart expressed his love and support.
Howard treasured his time with family and friends, summers in Twin Lakes, WI, his beloved cats, tending to the family garden and grounds, trips up north to Canada, and pursuing a range of hobbies from speed boats to model trains.
Howard will be dearly missed and always remembered as a very devoted son to his mother, a good brother to his siblings and uncle to his nieces and nephews, a friend to many, and our family’s very own MacGyver.
Howard was predeceased by his father, Gerald Rudnick. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Rudnick, sisters Kathy (Don) Miller, and Nancy Carlstrom, and brothers Gerald (Diane) Rudnick, Kenneth Rudnick, Ronald (Carolyn) Rudnick and Jeffrey Rudnick.
No services will take place, as Howard requested, but we deeply appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
