Howard's obituary
Howard Eric Harbaugh, 63, died suddenly last Saturday, 6/24/2023, of heart complications in his home in Leesport, PA. Eric was born 12/24/1959 in Mount Holly. New Jersey, to George Rodney Harbaugh and Jean Ochse Ade. He was pre-deceased in death by his parents and sisters, Laurie Techentin and Lisa Coleman. Eric was survived by his two children, Evan Harbaugh and Erica Oswald, and her husband, Bob, as well as his three grandchildren, Cole, Connor and Corey Ann. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Ade and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Eric lived in California as a teenager and moved back to PA after joining the U.S. Navy reserves. He attended Montgomery County Community College and Spring Garden College. Eric was a computer engineer and computer programmer at Drexelbrook Engineering in his early career. Later, he was a game developer for EGames and Merit touchscreen gaming. Ending with a long career with P&E Technologies, where he was responsible for many casino game developments and several tech patents. His passion was writing code and creating computer games. He also loved music, played the guitar and piano, and was a talented musical composer. He wrote many original songs as part of his band, CryZone. Eric loved animals, especially cats, and would enjoy feeding and watching the wildlife in his yard. He was also an avid sports fan and always rooted for his favorite sports teams, the Eagles and the Phillies, each season.
