I miss our talks, your laughter and love, but most of all, I really just miss you. Rest In Peace my dearest Susie.
It’s been a year since you’ve been gone. The pain is still here and I miss you so much. I pray you are at peace. Please watch over all your love ones. Sending much love.

I have missed our Tia Tencha as we called her and I know in my heart she is at peace with all our relatives in Heaven. I was that little boy that quietly listened and laughed at her stories and jokes and pretty much everything she had to say. She spoke her spanglish slang and shared whatever she could during her visits with my Grandparents "Bevi" and "Chaps". I could only recently understand why she called him that and I had to guess it was because he was a hard worker so his pants had to take a lot to be tough like rawhide cowboy chaps. She would talk about things back home in Pico and how everyone was doing. She always preferred taking the 5 Interstate and it always sounded like such a journey. As an adult, I made a similar visit this one time it was me driving to her house. I found her house by memory from when I would go visit with my mom Cecy and I used a map. I knocked until someone answered. Her son Bobby or Tommy or Steve let me in-I could never get the names straight sorry 😄. Tencha took me out for dinner at a fine restaurant and shared memory of my dad Henry who she said would visit during his routes with the gas company in East L.A. I'm sorry I didn't visit more often but I'm glad I did that time. I always loved her and the family too and always will. Rest in Peace. My condolences to all the family💓

I can't believe our Aunt Susie is gone. She had a laugh that would light up a room, and always had her hair, nails and make-up on point. She was one of the strongest women I've been blessed to share blood with. I can still hear her saying "fijate'..." whenever some chisme came up! I loved that she always called me "Baby Lee" not "Babe" like everyone else. And she called my daughter "Maxie" instead of "Mackenzie"... she made us feel special. I loved that she didn't sugar-coat our family's history, or stories of my dad. She shared the truth, and that's one thing I always admired her for. Rest easy, Tia. Your loved ones are waiting for you. Until I kiss your cheek again, hold your hand and hear you laugh, please know that you are always in my heart and memories.

Baby Lee
