Hope's obituary
Hope Mary Ordonez, born on October 17, 1954, peacefully passed away on October 5, 2025. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Hope touched countless lives with her loving, caring, strong, and fierce personality.
She was married to her beloved husband, Paul H Ordonez, in 1977. Hope's life was blessed with the birth of their children, Jennifer Arellano and Paul J Ordonez, in 1978 and 1982 respectively. Her family further expanded with the marriages of her son and daughter, and the arrival of her cherished grandchildren.
Hope’s family, which held a special place in her heart, includes her daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Frank Arellano, grandson Anthony Arellano, granddaughters Alicia and Alexandria Arellano, son Paul, daughter-in-law Yamini Ordonez, granddaughter Harmoni Patel, grandson Raam Patel, son Ceasar Bustos and daughter-in-law Vanessa Bustos.
In 2003, Hope courageously underwent a kidney transplant and demonstrated her strength to her loved ones. Her fierceness was also perfectly balanced by her nurturing and peaceful nature, which was the glue that held her family together. Hope often shared that her greatest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren, but those who knew her understood that her greatest accomplishment was the love she fostered among her family and friends.
Hope was a dedicated attendee at the Immaculate Conception Parish. In her leisure time, she cherished simple pleasures like enjoying chocolate and potato chips, savoring her favorite Margarita, or getting lost in the multitude of books she loved. Her favorite music artist was Neil Diamond, and she enjoyed watching Hallmark TV shows. She was particularly fond of art made by her children or grandchildren, and her favorite recreational activities included reading and playfully bickering with her husband.
The beach was her favorite vacation spot, and the color pink always brought joy to her day. Hope's enduring lesson to all is a testament to her strong character: "You could do anything you wanted as long as you tried." Her legacy will persist in reminding us all to stand up for what we want and to fight for what we deserve.
Hope Ordonez will forever be remembered as the heart, the calm, and the peace that held us together. Her love and spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Rest in peace, Hope, knowing your memory will be treasured forever.
