Honorato's obituary

Honorato “Pa Hono” Ruiz, a man of honor, love, generosity, and unwavering faith, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on January 30, 2025. Born on February 28, 1938, he left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He was the heart of his family, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who left an unforgettable mark on everyone blessed to know him.

Honorato was a man of immense talent, a gifted builder and welder who could create anything with his hands. Though he never had a formal education in civil engineering, his intelligence, determination, and relentless work ethic allowed him to thrive in that role. He was a man who didn’t need a degree to prove his skill—his craftsmanship and ingenuity spoke for themselves. There was no problem he couldn’t solve, no challenge he wouldn’t face head-on. His hands built more than just structures; they built a legacy of love, strength, and resilience.

But beyond his work, his greatest masterpiece was his family. His love for his wife, Teresa, was deep and unwavering, a bond built on devotion and partnership. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. He led by example, teaching the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness. He never hesitated to help others, always believing in the good in people and giving without expecting anything in return. His heart was as strong as his hands, always open, always giving.

Though he is no longer physically with us, his love remains—woven into the fabric of our lives, in the lessons he taught, in the kindness he showed, and in the countless things he built that will stand the test of time.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever, finding comfort in the love he gave so freely.

Rest in peace, Pa Hono. Your hands built so much, but your greatest creation was the love that will live on in all of us.
