Trey's obituary

Homer “Trey” Dean Strait III, 52, of San Antonio died Monday, March 10, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1973, in Beaumont, to Beverly Jo Stafford Strait and Homer Dean Strait, Jr.

Survivors include his kids, Kai Swavely-Strait and spouse, Jason; and Courtney Simmons; grandkid, Eli Wood; parents, Dean and Sandra Strait; siblings, Virginia Kelley; and Helen Leggett and spouse, Mark; nieces and nephews, Melissa Stainthorpe and spouse, David; William “Trip” Mark Kelley III and spouse, Alicia; Daniel Connor Hood; Lana Leggett; and Abbygail Leggett; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends; and close friend Jennifer Williams.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Jo Strait; sister, Melissa Jo Strait; aunt, Kathleen Sprinkle; uncle, Mike Magid and cousin, Devin Thomas.

A gathering of Mr. Strait’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., with a Time of Sharing at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements will be handled by Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
