Hezbon's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Hezbon Mwavua, who peacefully transitioned on September 15, 2023. He was born on April 12, 1944, dedicating 79 years to the embodiment of faith, hope, and peace.
Hezbon's life was a beacon of light and a testament to resilience. He was a man of deep faith, always hopeful even in the face of hardship, and radiated peace that was deeply inspiring. He held firm in his belief of doing no harm and seeking truth and justice above all else, fostering a spirit of unity.
In his lifetime, Hezbon achieved remarkable success both academically and athletically, especially in track & field and soccer. His accomplishments were many, but Hezbon was always humble, attributing his success to perseverance and an unwavering faith.
His legacy of faith, hope, peace, and unity will forever remain etched in the hearts of many. He lives on through his beloved wife of 50 years, Eunice Mwavua, his four children; Emmy, Jacque, Daniel, Andrew and his cherished granddaughter Ava. His spirit, wisdom and love for family and friends will be sorely missed but his teachings and love for life will continue to guide and inspire.
