Herman's obituary

Herman Lee Wilson went home to be with Jesus on July 02, 2022 at 9:42pm at the of age 89.


Herman was born to Oneta Lorene Wilson on January 11, 1933 at their home in Polk County, Missouri. He was the oldest of 8 children. Herman enlisted in the military in 1953 where he served in the Korean War. Though Herman’s talent and passion was in cars. Herman started his long career working with cars back in 1962 and retired from the car business in 2006. Throughout his entire life, Herman had a big heart for helping people in need. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Above all things Herman was a loving and dedicated Father and Grandfather. His grandchildren and great grand children were his pride and joy. Herman was saved and baptized in 2011 after battling life threatening heart problems in 2010. Herman enjoyed eating out at restaurants, spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with loved ones. 

Herman is proceeded in death by His mother Oneta Wilson, Siblings; Bill Wilson, Daril Wilson, Sharon Lawson, Sue Mitchell and Larry Wilson, His step daughter Dondy Garrido, His beloved grandson Christian Bartnik-Wilson and two great grandchildren baby Bartnik and baby Saint Bellamy. He is survived in life by his son, Heath Wilson, His younger brothers; Gary Wilson, and Dean Wilson, His Nephew Darin Wilson, His grandchildren Hope Sanderson-Wilson and Brooke Wilson, His adopted granddaughter Alivia Bradford, His great grand children; Bentley and Vanesa Wolfe and a third great grandchild on the way. Herman’s celebration of life will be held on 7/10/22 at 6:30pm at Northside Christian Church in Springfield, Missouri. The service is open to all who knew and loved Herman.
