Herbert's obituary
Herbert, who was known by many as “Bubble” was educated in the Prince George’s County Public School system. He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17 where he obtained his high school G.E.D. and served his country from 1969-1971 as a Supply Clerk Prior to obtaining an Honorable discharge, he received the following commendations; National Defense Service Medal, Expert Marksmanship M-16 and Sharpshooter Marksmanship M-14.
In 1975 while coming out of a local convenience store, 7-11, he bumped into a woman who would soon become the love of his life. On May 15, 1976, he was joined in holy matrimony to LaVerne Leola Harrington. From that union were two beautiful daughters, Fariece and LaKisha White. Bubble was a hardworking man who worked in the HVAC industry for many years. He enjoyed watching Western movies and television shows, watching football games, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved playing cards (Bid whist and Spades) and Dominoes was his all-time favorite. He was an avid walker, I mean he would walk for miles, turning down rides along the way. He loved spending quality time with his family and hanging out with his friends. He was a very quiet soft-spoken man and one of few words. He did not get into anyone’s business but if you attempted to get into his, he would give THE LOOK and quickly reply “stay in your own lane”!
Herbert leaves to cherish his memories, two loving daughters; Fariece “Reesie” Douglas (Sherwin) and LaKisha White, five grandchildren; Cori, LaTavia, Sherwin, LaVae and Camren, and a great-granddaughter, Naomi with an arrival date of November 24, 2020, his mother, Elber White, two sisters; Jacqueline Peters (Rodney), Tammie Edmunds (Leon), five brothers; Charles White (Denise), Kelvin White, Dennis White (Kimberly), Craig White (Jean) and Victor White. Brother Dexter White and sister, Sharon White preceded him in death. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
