Herbert's obituary

Herbert Clark Hoover, 90 yrs of age, of Iowa, passed away on October 20th of 1964 from colon cancer. Hoover served in office as president from March 4, 1929 – March 4, 1933. Many people say his time in office was right person, wrong time. Although he was known as one of the worst presidents, he had a few accomplishments, his Good Neighbor policy improved U.S. relations with Latin American nations. He also established the Veterans Administration, and before his time in office he had achieved international success as a mining engineer.

Hoover is blamed by many people of the democratic party for "causing" the depression and doing almost nothing about it, that's where the nickname came from. He was predeceased by his mother, Hulda Randall Minthorn, and his father, Jesse Hoover. He is survived by his children, Herbert Hoover Jr. and Allan Hoover, and his wife, Lou Henry Hoover. He attended, Stanford University (1891–1895) and George Fox University: Newberg Campus. The party he represented was Republican and his vice was Charles curtis.
