My father was the most wonderful dad a girl could ask for.  I know you are with me today because I just had a cardinal fly past me.  I remember your love of birds and have continued to follow in your footsteps watching and listening to all of the different birds outside.  Happy Heavenly Birthday Dad!  Love and miss you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

2007, Always welcomed visitors of any age into White Plains!
Anytime I visited the Oberman office, or an Oberman event, Herb was likely my first interaction.  He was the ambassador of what Oberman is all about.  Relationships and understanding the depth of them.  Mine, in the 2000's on involved my two boys.  I can recall taking my eldest into the office to see what a day in the life of an insurance career involved.  Herb came right out of his office and sat my son down and just asked him about what HE liked.    would have gotten on the floor and played whatever Mark wanted to if asked.  Herb was a ray of light, and I carry that into every relationship I have in my life, both business and personal.  I am thankful for having known him.  An angel, and a gentleman.  He is sorely missed.

I can't believe it's been 4 years since you've left us dad.  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think I about you.  I feel your presence all of the time.  Jeff, Andrew, Keith and I will always love you and never forget you! ❤️

I was very sorry to hear of Herbs passing. His retirement from Oberman was way too short.

We worked together for many years in NYC & White Plains, NY. The first thing we did each & every day was play Liars Poker - 2 out of 3 using one dollar bills. We would then talk about world events and sports. We were equal in sports knowledge, but Herb helped me understand the World so much, a history class every morning. While in retirement I miss those morning discussions so much. My regret now that we have lost a friend and colleague is that I never told him this. Many times I would think of Herb, but for some reason did not call or e-mail etc etc.
I miss our mornings and am thinking of you.
It is with a very heavy heart that I write about the passing of my wonderful Uncle Herb. I always looked forward to our family get togethers, knowing that I would have the opportunity to see my Uncle Herb. Whether debating American politics, watching him routinely ace The NY Times crossword puzzle or appreciating the latest NY Mets evolution, Herb has wisdom to impart (and a turkey to cut!). I will forever miss his sarcastic sense of humor, laughter and thoughtfulness. More than anything, Uncle Herb loved his family and would do anything for them. May his memory be for a blessing.
