Henry Lee Washburn, 59, of Littlewater, New Mexico passed away on December 13, 2020 after a difficult battle with cancer.

Henry was born on August 9th, 1961 to Joe and Lilia Lee in Shiprock, New Mexico. After graduating from Wingate High School in 1980, he went on to study and run cross country at Navajo Community College, NCC. In 1986 he attended the NJCAA cross country championships in Hagerston, Maryland. Henry Washburn was a force of nature, when it came to running, it was his passion. After college he continued to do what he loved by placing 5th at the Shiprock Marathon in 1984 and went on to win the Shiprock Marathon in 1989.

In 1980, he met Roselyn Henderson, and they wed on February 18th, 1983, going on to have 4 children, Arletta Henderson, Brian Washburn, Vanessa Washburn and Lynnelle Washburn.

Henry Washburn's family meant more to him than anything else in this world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of all of his children and his wife and did his best to support them.

Henry was also a caring person and anyone who knew him knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Henry was predeceased by Joe and Lilia Lee. He is survived by his siblings Linus Lee, Leonard Lee, Frances Lee and Sylvia Benoih.
