Henry's obituary
Henry (Harry) Harrison Foster passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 14, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1942 to Luther and Virginia Foster in Dearborn MO. He graduated from North Platte High School in 1960. Harry married Sue West on June 2, 1963 and they shared 61 wonderful years together.
Harry was an A&P mechanic and inspector for Trans World Airlines for 35 years, retiring in 2000. Harry also owned an auto business, repairing, rebuilding, buying and selling autos for several years.
Harry and Sue spent many summers at the lake with friends and family. They enjoyed boating and water skiing. Harry loved to travel and they visited many places over the years. In 2000 they bought a home in Mesa AZ, spending winters there. Harry loved trucks, tractors, airplanes, playing tennis, riding his bicycle, walking in the neighborhood in AZ and playing games with friends and family.
Harry is survived by his wife Sue, daughter Linda Cheney, grandson David Cheney (wife Kaden and great grandsons, Mason and Weston) granddaughter Heather Cheney, and brother Steve Foster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Virginia Foster and his sister Carolyn Waller.
A celebration of life service will be held on July 13, at Community Christ Church, 19400 169 Highway, Smithville, MO 64089. Visitation at 2:00pm followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.
