Henry's obituary
Pvt. Henry M. Lesperance Jr.
CARLSBAD – On May 2, 2012, the world lost a truly remarkable man. Pvt. Henry M. Lesperance Jr., longtime resident of Mexico, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and loyalty that never wavered.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 29, 1926, to Henry and Lynette Lesperance, Henry grew into a man defined by strength, honor, and deep family devotion.
He is survived by the love of his life, Rebeca “Silvia” Lesperance, his unwavering partner and best friend. Together, they built a life rooted in truth, loyalty, and the kind of love most people only hope to find.
Henry was a proud and devoted father to Henry Lesperance III and Lynette Lesperance-Stangeland, the only children who truly knew his heart. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Lynette Molly, Alyssa, Sebastian “Che” and Noah—each one a reflection of his values, his spirit, and the bond he nurtured with those closest to him.
His presence was steady, his love unconditional, and his loyalty unmatched. Henry was a man who never had to speak loudly to be heard—his actions spoke volumes. And those who were truly his… always knew it.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Carlsbad on Wednesday, May 16th, at 10:00 a.m.
Private interment will follow at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California.
