Henry's obituary

Henry “Hank” Ole Johnson Jr., 69, born October 12, 1954 in Glenview, Illinois, to Henry Sr. and Martha Johnson, entered into rest January 11, 2024. He graduated from Libertyville High School, Libertyville, IL, before moving to Houston, TX.

Hank is survived by his children, Eric (Liz) Johnson and Olivia (John) Povloski; grandchildren, Jeffrey Johnson and Claire Povloski; siblings, Martha Burns, William (Karen) Johnson, Catherine Carlton, and Thomas (Tonya) Johnson; and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Hank is preceded in death by his grandson, Maxwell Johnson; and his parents, Henry and Martha Johnson.

Hank had a successful career in civil engineering-project management around the city of Houston. To know Hank was to know his larger than life personality and know he was the life of any party. Hank never met a stranger and could make anyone laugh with any story. Hank loved to spend his time outdoors, hunting and fishing, and had a knack for any home improvement project. Hank was a loving father and son, who will be missed each day.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 26, 2024, at Second Baptist Church-West, 19449 Katy Fwy in Houston at 11 a.m. A small reception will follow after.
