Three of us friends went to Big Lake when it was frozen and shot gar fish through the ice. After a while, Roy, the heaviest of us, fell through the ice into this shallow lake. Henri and I thought this was a hoot and laughed our heads off. Then Henri fell through after which Roy and I laughed our heads off. I was the smallest and finally fell in too.. Roy and Henri thought that was a hoot and laughed their heads off.. We all slithered out of the cold water and ran to the Hequembourg's black '48 Chevy and high tailed it to Henri's house, turned on the hot water in their bath tub, look off our cloths, and got in, all three at the same time. Boy that felt good. Henri mother didn't think about it one way or another because she had grown up with three brothers who were always into something.
Remembering my beautiful Brother-in-law Bud as a kind and caring gentleman with a wonderful sense of fun. On a visit to see my Sister Gina, Bud organized a terrific holiday for me and my daughter Sue and all the family. We had such a great experience visiting so many places, St Augustine, Florida being so unforgettable. Sending loving thoughts and sympathies to Gina and all the family. Bud will be so missed. ❤
So sad I didn’t know Uncle Bud very well but my memories of our trip to America to stay with him and Gina are so vivid despite the years. Such a beautiful soul 😇. A kind warm and caring man. His illness of late would have been heartbreaking. He is at peace now. Thinking of Gina and all of the family. So glad Gina is settled with Bronwyn. Sending hugs to all who were blessed to know Bud ❤️❤️

My Grandpa Bud was my best friend. For many years of my childhood him and I spent most weekends and a lot of days together. He shared many stories from his past and I learned so much about him. I looked up to him and wanted to be just like him. He taught me to play chess, science and theory, and how to think for myself instead of following the masses. He showed me the wonders of nature and how precious life was. Many weekends were spent in North Georgia hunting for fossils and crystals. Those days will forever have a hold in my heart. I think about him everyday. For the rest of my life I will think of him. I miss him so much. I am happy he passed peacefully. He will be forever with me

My dad always had a love for animals. I always smile when I see this clipping of him with his pet crow as a child. The crow would fly through the window to find him. I remember growing up he always let our pets free. We had free range chickens before that was a thing. Dad you will be missed.
