Helga Burgess (83), beloved mother and Mimi passed away peacefully after a short illness at home, surrounded by family on December 24, 2021. Born in Germany and raised during World War II, she married and immigrated to California in 1960. She lived in Maryland during the 70’s and has lived in South Florida for the last 45 years.

She is survived by three sons, Pete Burgess (Katie), Mike Burgess, Tom Burgess (Kika), three granddaughters, Shaleen Lima (Tiago), Kerilyn Ward (Ethan), Brynn Brasington (Rob) and 3 great-granddaughters, Ava, Ember and Reese.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.

She worked for Lufthansa and Pan Am airlines and as an office manager in a neurology practice. She raised her children in California, Germany, Maryland and Florida.

She is fondly remembered and will be deeply missed by friends and family alike. She had a deep faith in God. She is in our hearts and we are encouraged we will meet again in heaven.
