Helena Nada Bowling born April 5th 1942 in Osijek, Yugoslavia to Maria Gerbl and Adam Gerbl. The Gerbl Family made their way to America in 1951. 

Helen was the most adored mother to 6 children Charles (Dena) Moore, Rufus Bowling, Marcus (Billie) Bowling, Lois (Fred) Ervin, Jimmy Moore, Dawn Engel. Helen had many grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids who she loved dearly. 

Helen graduated from Bell High in Bell, California in 1959, and became a US citizen a few years later in 1961. Helen was a devout Christian, and was very involved in her church First Assembly of God where she was a member for 50+ years.  She worked for General Electric (GE) for 15 years where she retired in 2005. 

Helen was not only devoted to God but her family. She could be found reading her bible, which she knew front to back, or spending time with one of her many many grandchildren. She was an avid traveler and loved to know the world around her. She loved flowers and would spend many of the summer days in her garden.

Helen was called home in the early morning of July 23rd 2025.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, sister, and one grandchild.
