Helen Veldman, 88, went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2021, in Shorewood, Illinois. Helen was born in Chicago, IL on November 17, 1932, to Helen (Motter) and William T. McGuire. She was a devout catholic and a parishioner at Holy Family Parish of Shorewood.  Helen loved to bake, craft and sew.  She had a passion for music and loved singing and playing the piano.  Helen  had the kindest heart, and will be missed by all who knew her.  She is now reunited in heaven with her husband, James, of 48 years.

Helen is preceded in death by her late husband, James S. Veldman, parents Helen and William McGuire, sisters Jacqueline and Sally, daughter Josephine, and granddaughter Cristina.

She is survived by daughters Deborah and Corrine, son Michael and wife Kammera, son William, and son Jamie. Helen will be lovingly remembered as "Nana," by her 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
