Laurin was a country boy, the youngest of three with two older sisters and grew up in New Hampshire. Helen was a city girl, the oldest of two with a younger brother and grew up in Massachusetts. After WWII, which Laurin served in, he attended watch making school in Massachusetts where he met Helen. …
