Helen June Myers (84) of Richmond, Virginia gained her heavenly wings on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully into the Lord's waiting arms. Born in Vasper, Tennessee on July 2, 1937 to Ernest and Sylvia Raines, Helen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Helen was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Helen was a loyal servant to God and loved her church and church family. She loved helping others and was truly an angel among us.  Helen joins her husband of 61 years, Harry in Heaven, along with her parents Ernest and Sylvia Raines; and brother Robert "Buddy" Rains. She leaves behind her children Debbie Criner and Josh Myers; Dan Criner, grandchildren Dalesha (Ben) Bowman, Danyel (Katie) Yates, and Danny (Kayla) Criner; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emmalyn and Zara; sisters Juanita Adams, Pat McClure and Jean Myers, many beloved nieces and nephews as well as her extended church family.  

Helen’s family will receive guests in her honor on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2-5pm at O.R. Woodyard, 1346 S High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207.  

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at O.R. Woodyard, 1346 S High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207. Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Columbus Ohio. 

The service will be available via livestream at www.orwoodyard.com.

Helen’s family respectfully requests that all guests wear a mask during visitation and services. 

A memorial service is being planned in Richmond at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Helen's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
