Helen Marie (Brazenor) Murison, 93, of Cary, North Carolina died August 12, 2022, at WakeMed Cary Hospital.

She was born on March 19, 1929, to William Brazenor and Helen Schaper in Brooklyn, New York.

After graduating from John Adams High School in Ozone Park, NY she enrolled at Kings County Hospital School of Nursing in 1949 where she enjoyed her time in the Operating Room. She married and moved to Pocatello, Idaho where two of her four children, Linda and Christopher were born. She then returned to New York where her third and fourth children, Donna and David were born.

Helen and her family settled in Franklin Square, New York where she raised her children. She relocated to Ithaca, New York in 1976 and worked at Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine before becoming a successful realtor at Dick Wilson Real Estate. Helen also later lived in Florida and eventually North Carolina. Wherever she lived, she always made a beautiful, comfortable home.

Helen enjoyed singing in a barbershop quartet and choral group, Sweet Adelines, while living in Franklin Square. She also loved the beach and collecting items with cardinals.

Helen is survived by all four of her children: Linda Starr (Stephen Maguire), Christopher Murison (Tammy Grammer), Donna Murison, David (Kathy) Murison; former husband, James Murison; sister, Danielle Schneider; her grandchildren, Allison (Michael) Gobeil, Rebecca, Kyle, Christina, Erin (Carter), and Carolyn Murison; and great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Claire Gobeil, as well as many extended relatives who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson,Timothy (Kelly) Starr. Her sister, Janet Pacciano, died very shortly after Helen.

A memorial service and celebration of life is planned for Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Sertoma Arts Center in Raleigh, North Caroline at 1:30 PM.
