Helen's obituary

Helen Bailey was born on June 25, 1954, in San Diego, California, to the late Mr. Robert Green and Mrs. Bobbie Jo Green married on January 9th, 1949. She graduated from Franklin High School and went on to pursue higher education at San Diego State University, Stanislaus State, and San Joaquin Delta College, where she studied Music Performance and Business.

Helen accepted Christ at an early age and lived a life rooted in faith. She was known for her beautiful smile and gentle spirit, bringing a unique radiance and grace to every room she entered. Whether attending church, going on a road trip, or enjoying a meal at her favorite restaurant, time spent with Helen was always memorable.

Professionally, Helen worked at IBM in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and later served with Shirley Caesar Outreach Ministries, Inc. in Durham, NC. During her time in North Carolina, she was a devoted member of Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church under the leadership of the legendary Pastor Dr. Shirley Caesar-Williams.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Alexander Green. She is survived by her three sons—Jeffery Lassiter, Christopher Lassiter, and Timothy Bailey—her daughter, Tyler Woods, and her granddaughter, Jasmine Atkinson. She also leaves behind many family members and friends who will cherish her memory and carry her legacy forward.
