Helen's obituary
Helen Elizabeth "Pup" Elomaa May1963-February 2023
Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved sister, sister-in-law, mother, niece, aunt and friend. Her bright light and big heart left us too soon, but we will remember her warmth, love and strength.
Helen's memory will be carried on by her loving Aunt Elaine Butler, her son Nicholas, siblings Donnie, Heather, Kenny, Darlene, Judy and Tammy, their spouses, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Helen loved growing up and spending time on the family farm with her parents Kenneth and Judy (pre-deceased), Gram (predeceased), Uncle Ron and Aunt Phyllis(predeceased) and their children Jennifer and Doug. This is where her love of animals came from especially dogs and horses. She was always brining home stray animals, you never knew what you would find when you walked into the door of her home from dogs to racoons. She loved her community of Haileybury where she worked for the town and was well known by the community.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the entire facilities from laundry room staff to the nursing staff at the Tri-Town Extendicare and the Kirkland Lake Extendicare for their compassionate care she received for the 15 years she was with them.
There will be no service but a donation in her honor to an animal hospital, animal shelter, horse rescue facility, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be very much appreciated.
