In June 1961 our parents bought home another member of our family. At that moment she became the favorite child. She was my baby sister and I was her older brother. She always said that to anyone she introduced me to, with a tone that was loving and proud. She was myZia’s favorite. Took her to Malta and always loved her like she was her daughter. She was a junior bridesmaid at our wedding and she and Natty got along so well that she would spend weekends with us in Connecticut with the two of them trying to cook. It was always fun and laughter. They always told stories of their cooking adventures. The last few years we were in touch more as Anna got married and had a beautiful son, who Helen adored. She made all the cousins meet at her home with Michael, to get to see the new batch of cousins joining the family. I am truly grateful that Anna and Fadi were able to make the trip down to Florida and have her Mom see Hunter again. She will always be my favorite baby sister.
