Please consider a contribution to Brooks-Davis Institute for Brain Cancer Awareness.

Background

The Brooks-Davis Institute for Brain Cancer Awareness (BDIBCA) was co-founded by Helen’s cousin, Dr. D. Fredrica Brooks-Davis, and her late husband, Teddy E. Davis. From its beginning, the Institute has been committed to offering hope, encouragement, meals, and support to patients and caregivers navigating the challenges of a terminal illness.

Helen embodied that same spirit of compassion. She faithfully supported the Institute and its founders by giving her time, talents, and resources to uplift others during life’s most difficult seasons. Rooted in her faith, Helen often witnessed God’s healing power in the lives of her loved ones and believed deeply in the strength of prayer.

In memory of our beloved Helen, all donations made in her honor will be used to expand the Institute’s outreach. Specifically, the BDIBCA will extend its service—currently offered at the American Cancer Society’s Baltimore Hope Lodge—to the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge in Decatur, Georgia, where Helen lived at the time of her transition. There, our volunteers will prepare meals and provide fellowship to patients and their caregivers, continuing Helen’s legacy of love, encouragement, and faith.
