Heidi's obituary

HEIDI ANN MERRIMAN (HENDERSON) - age 47 of Donaldson, IN was born April 25, 1972 in Chicago, IL to Elaine Henderson (Handlon) and Virgil Clifford Henderson. She went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 21, 2020. The loving mother is survived by her four children: Michael Patrick Merriman, Katherine Elaine Merriman, Kristina Rene’ Merriman, Henry Jackson Merriman Ⅲ. She is survived by: her 4 grandchildren, Lane Patrick Merriman, Brayden Michael Merriman, Athena Rene’ Merriman, Colton Jackson Merriman. She was a great entrepreneur, restaurant manager, and bartender. She opened her own business known as Heidi’s Fabulous Edibles where she designed cakes for all occasions. She died fighting a rare lung illness for 8 years. She went blind in September of 2018 and still managed to be optimistic. She fought hard for her children so that she could do her best to live a long, healthy life. A few words to describe her are kind, strong, hardworking, creative, hilarious, intelligent, beautiful, full of life, and a fighter. She loved to spend time with her children, sing, dance, work, lay out in the sun, pray, and love unconditionally. Private celebration of life will be held by family. She was the best mother, grandmother, and friend anyone could ever ask for. She loved her children so much, but we always said “love you more”. She will live with us in spirit for eternity. She now walks with her loving mother Elaine Mae Handlon in heaven. “Mom, Grandma, we will miss you eternally.” We laughed until we cried, we cried until we laughed.
