Hector's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Hector "Hecky" Figueroa, affectionately known as Hecky, but preferring Hector. Hector was born on September 28, 1956, and peacefully left us on November 12, 2024. He will be remembered for his charm, his quick wit and his kind heart.
Hector's love for his family was a testament to his generous spirit. He leaves behind a legacy through his children: Joann Figueroa, Hector Jr Figueroa and Daniela Figueroa. He will be remembered by his grandchildren: Issaih Moore, Joshua Moore, Aaliyah Moore, and Mariah Moore. His sisters, Sylvia Figueroa and Lisa Gonzalez, along with his niece, Andy Gonzalez, and nephew, Eddie Gonzalez, will keep his memory alive within the family.
Known for his sharp intelligence and occasional arrogance, Hector was a man who believed in speaking his mind. His life lessons were straightforward and practical - 'Don’t take Shit from No one! Keep strong and motivated.' He was a mentor to many, always willing to share his wisdom and experiences. As an Army Veteran, Hector exemplified strength and courage. He devoted much of his life to serving others, both in his career and personal life, notably through his ministry work.
A testament to Hector's undeniable charisma was his sense of humor. His sarcastic remarks and funny tales will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure to know him. His children are a living testament to his legacy, and through them, his spirit and love for life live on.
A funeral service for Hector will be held on November 21 2024, at 4 pm at Forever After Funeral Services. Friday November 22 at 10:15 AM we will leave for the Burial scheduled for 12 PM . It will take place at Calverton National Cemetery.
