Heather's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Heather Toland on the 20th of November, 2023. Born in the vibrant year of 1949, Heather was an incredible woman whose life was as colorful as her persona.
Heather had a rich palette of interests and tastes. She held a fondness for beverages such as Pellagrino, and her preferred refreshment was Perrier. She was an avid reader, with James Patterson's books regularly gracing her nightstand. A fan of rock, Heather's favorite music was Kiss, a band whose audacity echoed her own.
Heather enjoyed programs on The Hallmark Channel, and was a devoted supporter of the Denver Broncos. She found pleasure in mental stimulation, her favorite game being Crosswords. Her joy for life was evident in the variety of recreational activities she took part in - gardening, photo capturing, reading, and sewing.
She loved biking, finding it a perfect blend of exercise and relaxation. Heather cared deeply about the well-being of animals, and was often involved in causes that aimed to help or save them. Her most beloved color was dark green, reflecting her love for nature and the outdoors.
Heather was a one-of-a-kind, forthright and confident woman who had no trouble speaking her mind. This trait was evident both in her personal life and in her professional endeavors. Among her greatest accomplishments, Heather notably owned her own company and took pride in her work at Alaska's News Source.
She will be greatly missed by many, not least by Shakespear, her emotional support kitty. Let it comfort us to know that Heather's spirit lives on in all those she inspired, in the causes she cared about, and in the memories we shared with her.
