I only just found out about Elyse's passing and I'm truly at a loss for words. What a bright light. I left Montreal years and years ago, but when I met her while working together at McGill, she completely transformed my life in Montreal. We spent nearly every weekend together, and everything shone brighter with her. To her family, my thoughts are with you, what a tremendous loss. Even years and years later, I'll never forget her laugh.
I think of Elyse fondly--she would be so proud of Owain and Knox! May her laugh come to you as a comfort--I  an still hear it when I close my eyes.
My condolences for this profound loss. We're sending you love and prayers in this difficult time.

Sending healing prayers and comfort during this tough time.

Your ex neighbors, Patrice, Nancy  Lili, Lou and Samba

It breaks my heart I won't see you again the park with Knox.  You were such a bright light and kind soul, I will miss hearing your laugh and our odd little chats about life and everything else.  Sending a giant hug to the entire family, she was truly one of a kind.
I can't believe I won't hear her laugh again. My deepest sympathies.
You are not alone in your grief, there are so many that see you and love you.
Our deepest condolences to the entire Cragg family, Owain, Knox and all of Elyse's friends. We know this loss must be unbearable at the moment. We hope you are able to find strength in each other in the tough times ahead. We are here for you for whatever you need.
Daphne, Dave, and Isaac Yeates
Our deepest sympathy to you Barb, Jim, Margot, Alanna, Nicole, Owain and dear Knox. Elyse was such a bright light, beautiful, engaging and spirited. Fondest memories stretch back to when we arrived on Julian Ave and Elyse was 7. Especially when she would come to the door and ask Emil to come out and play, he having the largest super soaker! It was pleasure and privilege to watch her grow into such a beautiful person. I pray that the passing of time eases your pain and you're filled with the joy she created. Deepest sympathy, Deb, Emil, Conor & Willem
Barb and Jim, and family,
I have no words to console you on your deep loss, except to say that she is with God and He will keep her safe. We mortals have to accept the deep wounds, try to heal and carry on. Little knox will need lots of love and comfort from the family. May God give you all the strength to deal and accept the loss of a daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace. Om, shanti, Om.

I'm so, so sorry. Elyse was a wonderful person and had such a wonderful energy about her. I remember one night when she was in Austin to cover SXSW, so we decided to get some famous BBQ. Except, in the pouring rain, we realized far too late that we were driving to a BBQ stand at the airport (past security) instead of an actual BBQ restaurant. We just laughed it off and had a great back-up meal of tacos. She was such a kind and positive person. I, and everyone who knew her, will miss her dearly.
I was a colleague of Elyse' for many years and she was always a generous, funny, and incredibly talented person, whenever our paths crossed. My heart goes out to her family and friends for their loss.
To Knox, Owain, and the entire Cragg family— although there aren’t any words to ease your pain, I hope you find comfort in your happy memories of Elyse, as I am sure there are many. She was a charming, gregarious person that others couldn’t help but gravitate toward and her loss is being keenly felt by her friends in the McGill community.

Elyse…
You were warm, fun, outspoken, and always so supportive.
You were important.
You are loved.
I am grateful to have been able to call you my friend.
I will miss you. <3

With deepest sympathy to Owain and Knox and to the loving families, friends and colleagues of both Elyze and Owain in their heartbreaking loss of precious Elyze.

May deep love and admiration for Elyze be ever sustained to enfold Owain and Knox with affection and support as they journey on, treasuring a dear partner, a dear mother.

My deepest condolences to family and friends
