Heather's obituary
Heather Marie Drach
August 11, 1980 – January 6, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Heather Marie Drach, who died on January 6, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 44. Heather passed away due to sepsis resulting from a kidney infection and double pneumonia.
Born on August 11, 1980, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Heather was raised in National Park, New Jersey. She graduated from Gateway Regional High School in the Class of 1999. She went on to attend Johnson & Wales University for culinary arts and later Lincoln Technical School, where she became a certified auto mechanic. Heather had many passions, including riding her motorcycle, which brought her a deep sense of peace.
From a young age, Heather was known for her cheerful nature and radiant smile — a smile that once landed her a commercial for “Need a Littles,” a stuffed toy by Matchbox. In high school, she also attended Gloucester County Institute of Technology, where she performed in numerous dramatic productions with great enthusiasm and talent.
Heather brought immense joy to our lives with her bright spirit, strong will, and deep love for her family and friends. Her memory will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her parents, Joseph T. and Diane M. Drach; her siblings, Ashley J. Miller (Paul) and Justin T. Drach (Jamie Connelly); her children, Alyssa M. O’Connor, Rhiannon E. O’Connor (Eric Warlow Sr.), and Colin JD. O’Connor; her grandchildren, Olivia Holly and Eric Jr. Warlow; her grandmothers, Sandra J. Cocker and Marie A. Lowe; her nephew, Kaleb G. Miller; her niece, Kailee G. Miller; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph Jr. and Mary Ellen Drach; her uncle, Derek Drach; and her cousin, Tiffany Drach.
A celebration of Heather’s life will be held on August 16, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Red Bank Battlefield Pavilion in National Park, NJ.
