Hazel's obituary

Hazel Marie Reid, 88, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2022 at ProMedica Westerville after an extended illness.  She was born December 30, 1933 in Pikeville, KY, a daughter of William Brice Baker and Goldie Baker Blackburn.  She graduated from Minford High School with honors and moved to Columbus where she worked as a secretary for Columbus Coated Fabrics before marrying her husband, the late Stanley Dean Reid.  She trusted the Lord as her personal savior and became an active member of Crossroads Baptist Church.  She was an amazing homemaker completely devoted to her family with a caring, giving nature extended to neighbors and friends.  She is survived by her three daughters, Sherry Ann Peters (late husband Bill) of Westerville, Terry Lynn McPherson (husband Daniel) of Columbus, and Tina Louise Paynter (husband Mark) of Delaware, half-sister, Juanita Fraulini (husband Mark) of Franklin Furnace, seven grandchildren,  ten great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.  She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Thelmer, John and Charles Baker, a son, Mark Allen Reid, and a grandson, Timothy James Peters, Jr.
