Hattie's obituary
Hattie Ellen Lewis, youngest daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. David R. Kennard, was born on February 23, 1912 in Churchville, Maryland. She departed this life after a lengthy illness on March 29, 1987 at Liberty Medical Center.
She received her education at Asbury Elementary School and her early Christian training at Asbury United Methodist Church.
She married Albert C. Lewis on October 8, 1932, and from this union they are blessed with eight children.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories six daughters, Grace Bishop, Alma Cromwell, Frances Fax, Shirley James, Anne Bishop, and Octavia Irene Giles; two sons Albert Lewis, Jr. and Darlington Lewis; six sons-in-law Eugene Bishop, William Cromwell, Berlkley Fax, Bennie James, George Bishop, and Roger Giles; two daughters-in-law Martha Lewis and Beatrice Lewis; one brother John Kennard; twenty-eight grandchildren; twenty great- grandchildren; hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will all miss her greatly.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grand-mother Great-grandmother.
She lived for her family, their happiness and well-being were her main concern.
Sleep on ‘Mom-Mom", take your rest, we loved you dearly – but God loves you best.
