Harry's obituary

Harry Zondler, born on August 14, 1937, in North Arlington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, at his home in Toms River, New Jersey. He was surrounded by family in his final moments.

Harry began his career at Prudential immediately after graduating high school. While working full-time, he pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Rutgers University. Through dedication and hard work, Harry rose to the position of General Manager and retired after an impressive 37 years of service.

A man of many passions, Harry had a lifelong love for cars, a hobby that brought him great joy throughout his life. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time helping his friend Michael at his body shop. One of his favorite pastimes was rooting for his favorite football teams: the New York Giants and Rutgers University. Many of his summers were spent boating and in his later years, Harry found peace living on the water in Toms River.

Harry is survived by his sister Beverly; brother Kenny; brother-in-law Michael; as well as his beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved sister Joan; and his long-time friend and companion, Norma. In his final years, he was well taken care of by his caregiver Nelly. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, generous, and hard-working man who touched the lives of those around him.

A funeral service to honor Harry's life will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:30 am at St. Helen's Church in Westfield. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.

Harry will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May Harry’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

If you are unable to attend the mass, it will be live streamed on St.Helen's YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@SaintHelen/featured
