Web was always warm and welcoming to the staff and patients in our rehab department. We have a board in our department that lists the volunteers schedules. Web wrote “Web’s vacation” in permanent marker. We could use some special cleaner to take it off, but nobody wants to do this. It makes us smile and reminds us of Web every  time we see it.

Webb was a treasured member of the rehab staff at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff for many, many years serving as a volunteer. He was always a caring, loving, funny and supportive member of the team. He was happy to be here and it was nearly impossible to keep him away from his "shifts"- except for time he spent with his family. He told lots of stories about travel and family time. We miss him here every day. I am still able to reflect on his friendship often as last summer, he wrote his work schedule on our dry-erase board with a red Sharpie by mistake. I enjoy the peace that little error brings. My prayers are with the Southwick family.
