Harry's obituary
Harry Singer passed away on September 25th, 2023. He said that his last years were the best of his life, filled with love, friendship, travel and two french bulldogs he unapologetically neglected to potty-train, remarking “They are house trained. They only shit in the house.”
Born in 1960 to Mort and Helene Singer, Harry surpassed every metric of a life well lived. If you had asked him what industry he worked in, Harry probably would have replied “All of them.” He created wealth from nothing. More, he was famously generous. Harry supported friends (and strangers) with his time, capital, mentorship, and unflagging humor. There are few who met him who didn’t end up a friend.
Known to be comfortable in dive bars and islands owned by billionaires (Branson’s, not Epstein’s), Harry was an unyielding force of positivity and mischief. He loved to laugh. Lived to joke—and quote. One of his favorite sayings was that there was a Seinfeld line for any situation.
Harry was loved and loving to his last breath. His legacy, generosity, and positivity will live on without end. Today you can enjoy the soap his firm manufactured, live in the buildings he owned, drink in the bars he bought, and visit the mansion his indomitable presence gave warmth. He’s survived by his wife Paige, his son Adam, his family, countless friends, innumerable business partners, and a Rolls Royce he probably told you about.
